© 2015 by the author(s). The relevance of the study of this problem stems from the fact that the Russian-Chinese relations are one of the most important indicators of the situation in the world. They are the source of dependence not only for political, socio-economic situation in the Asia-Pacific Region (APR), but also the global political climate. In recent years, it has become more and more obvious and urgent to formulate new theoretical and practical approaches to the study of interaction between Russia and China, which both have bright cultural and historical features. Humanitarian ties play a great role in the relationships between these states and have a major impact on the process of their interaction. The article provides an overview of Russian-Chinese relations in the field of culture in the 1990s - 2000s. Particular attention is paid to the coverage of cooperation of intergovernmental organizations of Russia and China in the field of culture and education, as well as reviews the regulatory framework of the cultural partnership between Russia and China. The aim of the present work is a detailed analysis and evaluation of key bilateral humanitarian projects during the study period. The article submissions may be useful for specialists involved in the study of Russian-Chinese relations at the present stage, researchers and university teachers of the humanities. The article is also recommended to undergraduate, graduate and post-graduate students with in-depth research training

Climate-induced migration: New challenges and perspectives

    Get PDF
© 2018, Advanced Scientific Research. All rights reserved. Climate change has a significant impact on humans and the environment. In this regard, there are people who can no longer gain a secure livelihood in their homelands because of different ecological phenomena, including climate change. These people have to seek shelter from the bad effect of climate change elsewhere, in spite of the hazardous nature of the attempt. In this context, the new definition applicable to such persons is emerging. The reality is that despite the very real nature of the problem, climate change displacement raises more questions than the international community is likely to agree on solving. Keeping this in mind, the present paper examines different perspectives of the definition, applicable international legal framework and proposals on possible means of filling the protection gaps

© the author(s). The study of trends and outcomes in the development of modern Oriental historiography and source studies involves the study of scientific heritage and contributions of previous generations of scientists. Among those Russian and European orientalists of the XIX century, who made a great contribution to the development of the Russian Science of history and Oriental Studies, a special place is occupied by the Academician Vladimir Velyaminov-Zernov. Until today, the scientific heritage of V. V. Velyaminov-Zernov remained poorly studied. The main purpose of the article is to identify the contribution of V. V. Velyaminov-Zernov to the study of the history of the Turkic peoples and the medieval Muslim Khanates that emerged on the territory of modern Russia after the collapse of the Golden Horde. This article describes the results of research trips and archeographic work of V. V. Velyaminov-Zernov in different periods of his life. The main attention is paid to the Muslim narrative and epigraphic monuments, which were first introduced by him into scientific circulation. Analysis of his work allowed to define the views of Vladimir Velyaminov-Zernov on the continuity of ethno-cultural and religious traditions of the Muslims of the Middle Volga region, southern Urals, Urals, Central Asia and the Middle East

VV124 (UGC4879): A new transitional dwarf galaxy in the periphery of the Local Group

We present the first resolved-star photometry of VV124 (UGC4879) and find that this is the most isolated dwarf galaxy in the periphery of the Local Group. Based on imaging and spectroscopic follow up observations with the 6m BTA telescope, we resolve VV124 into 1560 stars down to the limiting magnitude levels of V~25.6 and I~23.9. The young blue stellar populations and emission gas are found near the core, but noticeably displaced from the center of the galaxy as traced by dominant evolved red stars. The mean radial velocity derived from the spectra of two Blue Supergiant stars, an HII region and unresolved continuum sources is -80+/-10 km/s. The evolved ``red tangle'' stellar populations, which contains the red giant branch (RGB), are identified at large galactocentric radii. We use the I-band luminosity function to determine the distance based on the Tip of RGB method, 1.1+/-0.1 Mpc. This is ~10 times closer than the values usually assumed in the literature, and we provide revised distance dependent parameters. From the mean (V-I) color of the RGB, we estimate the mean metallicity as [Fe/H]~-1.37 dex. Despite of its isolated location, the properties of VV124 are clearly not those of a galaxy in formation, but rather similar to a transitional dIrr/dSph type.Comment: 4 pages, submitted to MNRAS Letter

© the author(s). Formation of the Russian academic and university sinology, institutional stages, tendencies and features of development of oriental studies as educational and scientific discipline - one of the most important theoretical and applied problems. The XIX century demonstrated the main educational, scientific and organizational and research stages of formation and development of university oriental studies and sinology in Russia and Europe. Especially Kazan and St. Petersburg universities were the largest centers of Russian and European orientalism, including sinology of the XIX - the beginning of the XX centuries. In the basis of the Russian oriental studies, including sinology were external and internal political, trade and economic, scientific and cultural relations with countries of the East, major problems of socio-cultural development of the East of Russia and foreign Asia, the European oriental science and education and, in particular, original national research schools and cultures of the Eastern peoples of Russia. Kazan and the Kazan University have played a crucial role in formation and development of education and science about the East. The main aim of this article is to submit the review of development of the Kazan center of Russian university oriental studies, in particular sinology in the first half of the XIX century, the main activities and a contribution of professors and teachers to studying of history and culture of China at imperial Kazan university and teaching Chinese in the First Kazan gymnasium

An Experience in Collecting Requirements for Mobile, Energy Efficient Applications from End Customers in the Bank Sector

    Get PDF
Several development processes recommend strongly user participation and involvement in requirement acqui- sition. However, there are very few studies detailing the empirical results of direct user involvement in large industrial software development products. In this paper we report the outcomes of a novel approach taken by the Software House of one of major Russian banks (Ak Bars Bank) on how to improve the development process by directly involving end customers in the requirement elicitation phase of mobile, energy efficient ap- plications. We observe that such involvement in a form of a workshop has led to improvement of requirements collection and higher levels of user satisfactio

Purposes: Increased international activity in Russia leads to a steady claim of foreign language knowledge. The list of professional characteristics of a university graduate includes the ability to adapt to new information realities in the professional community, where foreign language speech activities become highly demanded, when not only language skills, but also social and cultural arrangements of the country. Thus, innovative approaches to foreign language teaching are required. The article explored the following aspects of foreign-language speech activity of university students. Methodology: methodology of teaching foreign-language speech activity; principles of development of foreign language speech activity of students; realization of educational resources for this activity development; model of pedagogical technology of formation of foreign language speech activity, etc. Result:  The results of the pilot work showed the validity of using the principles of the development of foreign language speech activities in the organization of the educational process. Implications/Applications: This article will help the student to promote the ability to give a speech. Novelty/Originality: At the same time, being a type of speech activity, foreign language communication in the process of training solves, in turn, educational and development tasks by means of a foreign language sign system, where the whole set of speech actions of the individual is actually present
